ARLINGTON, Virginia --- Cobham will exhibit at, and conduct a number of product demonstrations and presentations during, the Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) North America trade show and symposium 16-19 August 2011 in Washington, DC.

Involved with unmanned systems for many years, Cobham offers advanced enabling technologies for unmanned ground and airborne systems as well as networked situational awareness.

Cobham will demonstrate its TeleMAX explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) robot in AUVSI’s unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) demonstration area to display the system’s agility and functionality to overcome a variety of obstacles in a safe, controlled environment.

In addition, Tim Heely – Cobham vice president for unmanned systems and naval air programs, and a retired Rear Admiral and naval aviator – will moderate two panel discussions organized by AUVSI:

-- “Integrating unmanned air systems (UAS) into the National Air Space,” Wednesday, 17 August: 10:30 am – 12 pm, in room 146C
-- “Navy Unmanned Vehicles,” Thursday, 18 August: 1:30 pm – 3 pm, in room 146C.

Throughout the show, Cobham will conduct a number of product presentations at its booth, #2213, that will be less than 15 minutes long:

-- “Military commercial off the shelf (COTS) positioning system solutions for unmanned systems,” Tuesday, 16 August & Friday, 19 August at 12:15 pm; Wednesday, 17 August at 10:15 am
-- “Unmanned Air System (UAS) lightweight gimbal,” Tuesday, 16 August & Friday, 19 August at 12:45 pm; Wednesday, 17 August & Thursday, 18 August at 12:15 pm
-- “COFDM wireless video link technology for non-line-of-sight UAV applications,” 16-19 August at 1:15 pm
-- “Net-centric operational antenna system,” 16-18 August at 3:15 pm
